In my article today, I will tell you about the places to visit in Turkey and where they are.
I WILL MENTİON NEMRUT, THE LAND OF THE GODS, AT THE TOP OF OUR LIST OF PLACES TO VISIT IN TURKEY.

- Nemrut is located in the kahta district of Adıyaman, Mesopotamia, in the southeastern Anatolia region of Turkey.
- Mount Nemrut, known in ancient times as “Kommagene”, is home to archaeological remains found in this area.
- In addition, Mount Nemrut is a UNESCO world cultural heritage site. Tens of thousands of visitors go to mount Nemrut every year.
CAPPADOCIA IS AT THE SECOND PLACE OF OUR LIST OF PLACES TO VISIT IN TURKEY.

- Cappadocia is a city of history and entertainment. Cappadocia is a region that emerged 60 million years ago when the soft layers formed by lava and ashes sprayed by Erciyes, Hasandağı and Göllüdağ were eroded by rain and wind for millions of years.
- Human habitation dates back to the Paleolithic period. The lands inhabited by the Hittites became one of the most important centers of Christianity in later periods. The houses and churches carved into the rocks have made the area a huge sanctuary for Christians fleeing the oppression of the Roman Empire.
- Avanos, Urgup, Goreme, Akvadi, Uchisar and Ortahisar Castles, El Nazar Church, Aynali Church, Pigeon Valley, Derinkuyu, Kaymakli, Ozkonak Underground Cities, Ihlara Valley, Selime Village, Cavusin, Gulludere Valley, Pasabağ-Zelve Anapinar Village are the main places to be seen.
- Traditional Cappadocian houses and pigeonholes carved into the rocks show the originality of the region. These houses are 19. in the XVI century, the slopes were built either of rocks or of cut stone.
- The stone, which is the only architectural material of the region, can be processed very easily because it is soft after leaving the January due to the volcanic structure of the region, but it hardens after contact with air and turns into a very durable building material.
